Card Readers

A reader is the point where an identity meets a door. This category exists because verification has to happen somewhere physical: at the wall, in under a second, in rain, frost and daily use, year after year.

For installers and system owners, readers solve the practical question of how people present their identity — card only (MF232), card or PIN (MPIN232), or card, PIN and QR code (MQP232) where visitors and temporary access matter. All three are designed and supported by ID Network in Estonia and connect to the ID Access Controller over RS232.

A reader is never the whole system: it works together with a controller that makes the decision, credentials that carry the identity, and power that keeps the door verified through the day.
